Delhi(Arrival) - Manali

Arrive Delhi , meet & greet by our tour co-ordinatorat 6 p.m. From here you will board an overnight Volvo bus to Manali, situated in the Himalayan ranges; Manali is a picturesque hill station in Himachal. Overnight bus journey.

Manali (Arrival)

On arrival at Manali Bus Stop, we transfer you to the hotel (Hotel’s check in time is 12:00 Noon). Later proceed for the sightseeing of Manali. Visit Hadimba Temple, Manu Mandir, Vashisth Kund. Enjoy the evening on the mall road where you can buy souvenirs and handicrafts (on your own). Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

  • Experiences: Visit Hadimba temple, Also known as the Doongri Temple, is a four-tiered pagoda-like wooden temple standing in Deodar trees and has beautiful carvings on its ornamental door. Dedicated to Hadimba, the wife of Bhim, this temple is the venue for an annual fair held during May. Manu Mandir, situated in the old Manali region, this might be the only temple of Manu in India. The greasy pebbled sand stone trails that lead to the temple premises is very enchanting. Visit The Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant makes wonderful outing for the day.” Tibetan Monastery & Van Vihar. Later make your visit to Vashishta Springs, are located across the Beas river, about 3 km away from Manali, at an altitude of 1,982 meters (6,200 feet) and are the natural sulphur hot springs.

Manali to Sarchu

Today we start our journey to Leh Stopping at Sarchu for a night. Today we cross Rohtang Pass (3978 m), Keylong (3350 m), Baralacha Pass (4890m) with overnight stopover at Sarchu (4253 m), border of the states of Himachal Pradesh (Lahaul) and Jammu & Kashmir (Ladakh). Upon arrival in Sarchu we check in at our tented campsite for overnight stay.

Sarchu to Leh

We leave for Leh by early morning, through Nakeela and Lachangla Pass 16,617 ft. Lunch at Pang. After Lunch drive to Leh passing through Skyangchu Thang (Biggest and Highest Plateau on Earth on Stretch of 42 Kms), Tanglang La Pass 17,585ft and Indus Valley. Upon arrival in Leh, check in at Hotel.

Leh-Hall of Fame-Gurudwara Pathar Sahib-Magnetic Hill-Sangam-Leh

After leisurely breakfast we depart for a wonderful drive towards the Sham valley which is western part of Ladakh. Stop at the Hall of Fame-must visit for every Indian. Enjoy some hot tea at the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and Spituk monastery and drive further approximately 4 kms towards Magnetic Hill. Later proceed towards the Sangam of the Indus & Zanskar Rivers. After visiting Sangam return to Leh for overnight stay.

Leh–Nubra Valley Via Khardung La

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,380 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Dinner and overnight at the Camp.

  • Experiences: From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level.

Nubra Valley – Leh

After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp and drive to Hunder. While returning stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. Later we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel. In the afternoon you can rest and relax.

  • Experiences: Opportunity to ride on a bacterian camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snow capped mountains on the horizon. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Seen in isolation you could well be amongst the sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. It is indeed a strange sight since immediately on the left of the road are rocky mountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains.

Leh to Pangong Lake

After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake en-route visiting Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh & 3 Idiots Rancho School & further 5 Kms Driving through a picturesque landscape we reach Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village. After visiting above two monasteries we drive further towards Changla Pass 5486 Mtrs. The long easy ascent takes you to Changla pass through its winding roads passing through Shakti Village. Stop at the Changla Pass for a quick photograph session and drive down to the village of Tangtse, where you can relax for a cup of tea. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the “Indo China Border”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Upon arrival we check in at our Camp near Pangong lake. Dinner & Overnight at the Camp.

Pangong Lake to Sarchu

Post breakfast you drive to Sarchu via Changla pass. Reach Karu where you can have a tea break post which you will drive towards Sarchu via Taklang la Pass which is 17,586 feet, worlds second highest motor able road in the world. Reach Sarchu by late evening. On arrival. Check into your camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Sarchu to Manali

After breakfast, drive to Manali by Rohtang Pass. On arrival, check into the hotel. Evening free for own activities. Overnight at hotel.

Manali to Delhi

Morning is free at leisure. Hotel’s check out time is 1200 noon. Later board overnight Volvo bus (Departing at 04:00PM) to Delhi. You will reach Delhi next Day in the morning by 7 or 8 A.M.
